The key personnel of Police Regional Office 9 representing Police Commissioned Officers, Police Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Uniformed personnel will sign the PNP Integrity Pledge on February 9, 2015. The signing of the Integrity Pledge is one of the highlights of the 24th PNP Founding Day Celebration on February 9, 2015 which will be held at the Police Regional Office 9 Parade Ground, Camp Col. Romeo A. Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City.
The initial ceremonial signing of the PNP Integrity Pledge was done last January 26, 2015 by the key personnel from the PNP National Headquarters, Camp Crame, Quezon City during the celebration of the 24th PNP Founding Day.
The PNP Integrity Pledge is mandated by the PNP Command Memorandum Circular (CMC) issued by Police Deputy Director General Leonardo Arias Espina, Officer-In-Charge, Philippine National Police last January 13, 2015.
This CMC aims to ensure the total commitment of every PNP personnel to live according to the highest standards for public officials and employees set forth in Republic Act No. 6713, known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for all public officials and employees. Likewise, it aims to underscore vital role of top and unit leaderships in leading by example and in accordance with the principle of command responsibility by ensuring that their respective personnel strictly abide with the provisions of RA 6713.
A total of more than 150,000 Uniformed and Non-Uniformed personnel nationwide are obliged to sign the PNP Integrity Pledge.
The signing of the PNP Integrity Pledge in the region will be headed by Police Chief Superintendent Edgar Orduña Basbas, Regional Director which will be witnessed by the key stakeholders from the NAPOLCOM, Civil Service Commission-Region 9 and Regional Advisory Council.
The PNP Leaders/Commanders Integrity Pledge and the PNP Individual Personnel Integrity Pledge Forms will be distributed to the different Police Provincial Offices, Zamboanga City Police Office and Isabela City Police Station for their personnel to affix their respective signatures.
