The Philippine National Police joins the whole nation in observing the 118th anniversary of the proclamation of the Philippine Independence. The PNP, in coordination with the national and local organizing committees, will be in the forefront of ensuring the security and traffic preparations for all the events in relation to the Independence Day.
PCSUPT MIGUEL CABANATAN ANTONIO JR., outgoing PRO9 Regional Director bids farewell to the PNP rganization after rendering 38 fruitful years of the police service on June 6, 2016 at the age of 56, the mandatory retirement age of every member of the PNP.
PSSUPT FERDINAND B DAWAY, Regional Chief Directorial Staff of Police Regional Office 9, who served as area supervisor of the PNP security coverage in Zamboanga del Sur, went to Bayog Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga del Sur on May 8, 2016 and conducted an inspection on “Tamang Bihis”, disseminated security measures, issues and concerns for SAFE 2016, and directed the personnel of the Municipal Election Monitoring and Action Center (MEMAC) to render situation report every three hours to its counterpart Provincial EMAC specially the status of the Vote Counting Machines in the polling places.
PCSUPT MIGUEL C ANTONIO, JR., PRO9 Regional Director spearheaded the turn-over of five units of Mahindra Patrol Jeep to the representatives of the city governments of Zamboanga City, Isabela City, Pagadian City, Dipolog City and Dapitan City together with their respective Chiefs of Police.
In consonance with the forthcoming 2016 national and local elections, the personnel of the Directorate for Research and Development led by PSSUPT SHEPARD REYES conducted a rank Inspection and information drive to the personnel of Police Regional Office 9 on April 28, 2016 at about 11:00 AM at the PRO9 Quadrangle in Camp Col. Romeo A. Abendan, Zamboanga City. The activity is in connection with the implementation of Bantay Tamang Bihis initiated by the PNP National Headquarters.
