Drug Den Raided in Kumalarang

Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur - A joint search operation against illegal drugs was conducted by Provincial Intelligence Branch, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch, Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Force, Provincial Public Safety Company, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Regional Public Safety Battalion 9 and the Regional Explosives Ordnance Disposal at 1:30 AM of April 5, 2015.

This is for the implementation of Search Warrant Nos. 212, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218 against Halijah Edris, Toto Abbas, Ayang Edris, Suharto Mamolibid, Jabide Abdullah, Ibrahim Abbas, and Asis Sinsi at Barangay West Boyugan. This resulted in the arrest of Akmad Lamagan Edris a.k.a. “Ayang”, 41, and Jabide Ladjas Abdullah a.k.a. “Beds”, 50, residents of said village, also seizing an estimated three and one gram of shabu from each, respectively. Furthermore, the above-named operation dismantled a drug den in consonance with Search Warrant No. 215 against Suharto Mamolibid who evaded arrest, but resulted in the capture of Abdul Tampipi Modabpil a.k.a. “Basit”, 31, Claudio Donor Buctuan a.k.a. “Nyol”, 37, resident of Barangay Sayao, Melvin Ornopia Sullano, 23, of Barangay Picanan, Cosain Tampipi Edris, 48, Yusop Calsedo Dacula, 34. More or less 50 gram of shabu were also recovered from them. This brings the estimated weight of shabu during the operation to about 54 grams. Suspects are temporarily detained at PDEA lock-up cell, while cases for violation of sections 6, 7, 11 and 12 art II of R.A. 9165 are being prepared for filing before the court.

Another operation by same team at about 5:00 AM in the area at the residence of Akmad Abas, alias “Toto” resulted in the confiscation and seizure of around 1.17 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), several shabu paraphernalia and the arrest of Dexterbell Impal y Chiong, 30, driver and resident of Bliss, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay for carrying a caliber .45 pistol. Alias “Toto” escaped upon noticing the arrival of the raiding team. A case for violation of section 6, 11, and 12 art II of R.A. 9165 and violation of R.A. 10591 (illegal possession of firearms and ammunition) were prepared for filling against the suspect.
