5 Involved in Pot Session Nabbed; 6 Other Drug suspects Busted

Zamboanga City - Five individuals were arrested after they were spotted having a pot session in one of the houses in Barangay Talon-Talon, following a drug buy-bust operation in about 2:15 PM of May 29, 2015. Police Chief Inspector Edilberto M. Alvarez, Zamboanga Police Station 11 commander, said that the operation was aimed against a suspected drug pusher identified as a certain "Joel".

However, alias "Joel" was able to elude arrest upon detecting the raiding team, wherein a hot-pursuit occurred at the inner portion of Barangay Talon-Talon Loop. During the chase, five persons were spotted having a pot session and were apprehended by the operating team. They were identified as Rudy Batallones y Casumpang, 49, Al-manzo Magallanes y Erstelia, 30, Nestor Padilla y Silaga, 27, Julius Alvarez y Natividad, 19, and Elizer Fernando y Del Rosario, 18, all residents of above-mentioned place. Confiscated from the five suspects were two used aluminum foil strips with residue, and several drug paraphernalia. Recovered from Batallones was a caliber .357 magnum revolver loaded with five live rounds of ammunition. The arrested suspects are now detained at said police station pending the filing of appropriate charges in court.

Zamboanga City - Two suspected drug pushers were arrested while another eluded arrest during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 in Purok 2, Barangay Recodo at about 7:20 AM of May 29, 2015. Police Senior Inspector Karib A. Muharram, Ayala Police Chief, identified the arrested individuals as Maila Isnain y Daris, 36, and Aiken Musa y Joaquino, 53, both residents of said place. The other target who eluded arrest was identified as Alan Isnain y Joaquino, 42. Confiscated from them were seven small sachets of suspected shabu, different drug paraphernalia, Php 200.00 marked money. The suspects will be charged for violation of RA 9165 and are now detained at said police station. The confiscated suspected shabu were brought to Regional Crime Laboratory Office 9 for examination. 

Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte - Elements of Liloy MPS led by Police Chief Inspector Khisna B. Asaali in coordination with PDEA9, Zamboanga Del Norte conducted a drug raid in Purok 5, Barangay Fatima at about 10:07 AM of May 29, 2015, specifically at the residence of Arnel Etang y Piñero. Said operation was conducted by virtue of Search Warrant No. 11-2015 dated May 21, 2015, for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165 issued by Judge Oscar D. Tomarong of RTC9, Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte against Eric Tee Chiong, 36, and Melissa Piñero Etang, 33, both residents of abovementioned place. The two arrested suspects, who are under the drug watch list of Liloy MPS, were arrested together with Arnel Etang. Confiscated items during the search include fourteen sachets of suspected shabu, several drug paraphernalia, alleged drug proceeds amounting to Php 2,000.00, and assorted defective cellular phones. Marking and documentation were conducted in the presence of Mr. Sherlon Saladaga – DOJ representative, Mr. Bryan M. Camilo – media representative, and Councilor Manuela A. Fernandez of Barangay Fatima. Apprehended violators were brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory, Dipolog City for drug testing, and subsequently detained.

Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte - Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station led by Police Senior Inspector Jose Rivero arrested a teenager during a buy-bust operation conducted at Jamz Photocopier in front of DJRM Hospital along Lawaan National Highway, Barangay Banonong at about 11:10 PM of May 29, 2015. Arrested suspect was identified as Mark Pacillos Cayuna, 18, resident of Barangay Polo. Confiscated from him were three sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, another sachet with crystal residues inside an empty cigarette pack, and one more sachet of shabu as buy-bust evidence, drug paraphernalia, mobile phone, Php 800.00 cash, and a black Honda Wave Alpha motorcycle with plate number 9J 3300. Marking and documentation of recovered evidences were conducted in the presence of a media representative, and Kagawad Junilo Cadano of Brgy. Banonong. Arrested suspect is temporarily detained at Dapitan City Police Station while a case for Violation of Section 5, Section 11 and Section 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are prepared for filing in court, while the seized items were submitted to PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.
