RD PRO9 Hails Operating Units for Capture of ASG Member

PRO9 Regional Director PCSUPT MIGUEL C ANTONIO JR. directed all units under his command to intensify their manhunt operation against Most Wanted Persons in Zamboanga Peninsula.

The guidance resulted in the arrest of a suspected ASG member identified as Arasad Saidjuwan or Arasad Amin Sahid or also known as Abu Mara/Amana/Abu Ayub during the joint police operation by Zamboanga City Police Station 11 Intelligence Branch, Philippine Center on Transnational Crime, WM-PAOCC, 84th SAC-SAF, Military Intelligence Group 9, Naval Intelligence Service Group-WM, CTD-Intelligence Group and RIU9-IG held in Zaragosa Street, Zamboanga City at about 9:00 AM on December 3, 2015. Suspected ASG member is temporarily detained at ZCPS11 for documentation before he will be turned-over to the court.

Arasad Saidjuwan or Arasad Amin Sahid has a standing warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case Number 3570 for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention issued by Judge Leo Principe of Regional Trial Court, Branch 1, Isabela City, Basilan province.

PCSUPT ANTONIO JR. lauded and commended the participating PNP/AFP elements for a job well done and for their utmost efforts and immediate action against the arrested ASG member who attempted to evade the pursuing government forces.

He likewise reminds and urges the general public to continue their support and cooperation to the local police in their respective barangays or communities to provide relevant information on any wanted person who may be hiding in their respective places.
