Zamboanga City - Personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 2, Special Investigation Unit-ZCPO, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency IX, Regional Maritime Unit 9, Regional Intelligence Division 9, Task Force Zamboanga, Regional Health Service 9, Regional Public Safety Battalion 9 and Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team/K9 totalling to two hundred forty five PNP personnel conducted an operation at about 5:00 in the morning of December 27, 2015 in Sitio Palo-Palo, Brgy. Muti.
This is for service of Search Warrant No. 2015-26 against Omar Isnilun for violation of RA 10591 alias “Niyog-Niyog”, Search Warrant No. 2015-22 against Malling Ujajun for violation of RA 10591; Search Warrant No. 2015-21 against Yusop Ujajun for violation of RA 10591; Search Warrant No. 2015-23 against Lang Hapil for violation of R.A 10591; Search Warrant No. 2015-24 against Barri Hapil for violation of RA 10591; and Search Warrant No. 2015-25 against Hussin Hapil for violation of R.A 10591, issued by Judge Gregorio V. Dela Pena III, Executive Judge of 9th Regional Trial Court. Another setoff warrant with Search Warrant No. 2015-20 against Modong Isnilun for violation of PD 1866 as amended by RA 9516 at Sitio Niyog-Niyog issued by the same judge, and Search Warrant No. 20-2015 against Barri Hapil for violation of RA 9165 at Sitio Palo-Paloissued by Judge Eric D. Elumba, RTC Branch 13, this city.
Recovered items at the target houses located in Sitio Palo-Palo, Brgy Muti are the following:
Residence of Hussin Hapil – one unit Rifle grenade, 30 rounds of cal 5.56mm ammo, 57 rounds of cal 7.62mm ammo, one cal .38 Smith and Wesson with serial no. 31954, 2 rounds of cal .38 ammo, six rounds of cal .40 ammo, 8 rounds of cal .30 ammo, one M14 trigger assembly, one M16 long magazine, one green bandolier
Residence of Barri Hapil - Php 900.00 pesos cash, drug paraphernalia, one sling-type magazine pouch, two bottles of fish bomb
During the raid at the house of Hussin Hapil, SWAT members approaching the area were fired upon by Hussin Hapil and two unidentified companions armed with an unknown caliber of gun. This prompted the SWAT team to retaliate. The three suspects later fled towards the bushy area. Confiscated items were turned-over to ZCPS2 for proper disposition.
