Weapons and Ammos Seized in Dimataling Oplan Lambat-Sibat

Zamboanga Del Sur - PSSUPT JOHN GUYGUYON, the RCIDU9 Chief, led a team composed of CIDG, PPSC-ZSPPO, 9th RPSB, PDEA9, Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, Provincial Intelligence Branch, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch, Regional Intelligence Division, Philippine Army, and Dimataling Municipal Police Station for the implementation of several search warrants related to Oplan “Lambat-Sibat”.

The team arrived at the target area at around 3:50 AM on February 14, 2016, and simultaneously effected the implementation of Search Warrant Nos. 305-325 at Purok 2 and  Search Warrant Nos. 326-327 at Purok 3, all in Barangay Saloagan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Due to the poor road condition in the area, the respective targets from target 1 to target 13 sensed the arrival of the raiding team and eluded arrest which resulted only in the confiscation of firearms, ammunitions, and explosives, itemized as follow:

Target 1 - Search Warrant No. 305 (Illegal Possession Of Firearms And Ammunitions) against Mr. and Mrs. Ceasar and Nida Ramirez - one improvised shotgun without serial number, one magazine assembly for shotgun, eight shotgun ammunitions, two caliber .38 ammunitions, six caliber 5.56 ammunitions, two caliber 9mm ammunitions, twelve caliber .45 ammunitions, two cal 40mm (M203) ammunitions, and three rifle grenades.

Target 8 - Search Warrant No. 319 (Illegal Possession of Firearms And Ammunitions) against Danilo Taup Mag-Aso alias “Tata” - eight pieces of cal 5.56 magazine assembly loaded with a total of ninety caliber 5.56 ammunitions, and one green military bandolier. 

The implementation of Search Warrant Nos. 305 to 327 to the thirteen targets was witnessed by  Kagawads Floriemer B. Taup, and Judy G. Macalisang, of Brgy. Saloagan in Dimataling, Aude A. Hampong of GMA7 based in Zamboanga Del Sur, Karen Cris M. Ramirez (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ceasar and Nida Ramirez) and Mariafe P. Mag-Aso (wife of Danilo T. Mag-aso). The confiscated items were immediately brought to CIDG-ZDS office for proper disposition and documentation and regular filing of cases.
