The Senate Justice and Human Rights Committee’s probe on the ill-fated encounter between PNP personnel and protesters consisting of farmers and locals in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato last April 1, 2016 gets underway today.
The Philippine National Police, however, continuously observes its mandate and morally vows to serve and protect the people.
Relatively, the PNP condemns the violence in Kidapawan and vows to determine the truth so that justice for those who were killed and injured may be served.
The PNP in seeking the truth respects and submits itself to the ongoing Senate inquiry in relation to Kidapawan incident.
The Philippine National Police formed a Special Investigation Task Force and Fact Finding Committee to assure the public that impartiality and transparency of the investigation will be observed.
The PRO9 leadership headed by PCSUPT MIGUEL C ANTONIO, JR., appeals to the public to refrain from making conclusions as the inquiry on the incident is still going on.
