40 Drug Users and Pushers Surrender to Labason PNP

Several users and pushers of illegal drugs voluntarily surrendered to Labason Municipal Police Station in accordance with the implementation of “Oplan Tokhang”at about 11:00 AM on June 27, 2016. Elements of Labason MPS conducted an intensified campaign against illegal drugs by giving warning to local suspected drug users and pushers. This prompted forty individuals to surrender themselves to said MPS.

The surrenderees include the no. 3, no. 4, no. 5, no. 8, and another pusher in the drug watch list of said MPS. Thirty-five individual drug users and five drug pushers/users surrendered in the presence of Mayor Eddie T. Quimbo, Municipal Mayor of Labason and media practitioner Mr. Alberto Jamarolin. After the procedural documentation, the individual drug users and pushers were released and received by their respective barangay chairman, a member of the Barangay Anti-Drug Addiction Council. Labason LGU gave a second chance to these drug users and pushers, providing them rehabilitation as well as basic needs for their families.
