Php 106T Worth of Shabu Seized in ZC, 4 Drug Suspects Collared

A 22-year old man was arrested after he sold suspected illegal drugs to a poseur buyer during an anti-drug operation conducted by PDEA9, Intel operatives of Philippine Coast Guard-South Western Mindanao, in coordination with Zamboanga City Police Station 6 at about 7:10 PM on August 21, 2016.

Arrested suspect was identified as Akramar Aliuddin y Asmawil a.k.a. "Tangkad", 22, resident of Locson Drive, Talon-talon, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from him were a small and two large sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php 106,000.00 and marked money. Subject is currently under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges in court.

A man listed in the anti-illegal drug priority list was arrested by operatives of Zamboanga Police Station 3 (Sangali) during the conduct of buy-bust operation in Purok 6, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City at about 11:00 PM on August 20, 2016. The arrested suspect was identified as Christopher Cuevas y Villafuerte, 33, a local resident. On the other hand, his companion later identified as certain Baban Taman, also included in the said list, was able to escape upon sensing the presence of the police. Confiscated from suspect were drug paraphernalia, marked money, and one sachet of suspected shabu. Suspect is presently detained at said police station for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Anti-illegal drug operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 (Vitali) conducted a drug buy-bust operation at Sitio Tigbao, Barangay Licomo, Zamboanga City at about 7:15 PM on August 20, 2016. This led to the arrest of one of the suspect identified as Jailani Hassan y Jakaria a.k.a. “Aladin”, 21, resident of Barangay Tigpalay, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay. He sustained a lone gunshot wound on his body after he was engaged in a shootout with the police. Investigation disclosed that after the transaction was consummated between the poseur buyer and the pusher, the two suspects onboard a motorcycle sensed that they transacted with the operatives. One of the suspects opened fire using an unknown firearm but did not hit the raiding team. The operatives returned fire and hit the back rider causing him to fall from the motorcycle, while the other suspect later identified as a certain Tutong Asani fled toward the direction of Sitio Texas within the same barangay. A chase ensued but only the motorcycle used by the suspect was recovered abandoned at the shoulder of the road in Sitio Texas.  Confiscated from the arrested suspect were four small sachets of suspected shabu, several drug paraphernalia, marked money, and a black/red Honda Wave motorcycle bearing plate No. 2435 JL. First aid was administered to the arrested suspect at Vitali Lying-In Clinic and later transferred to Zamboanga City Medical Center for further medical attention pending the filing of appropriate charges.

Anti-illegal drug operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 4, in coordination with Zamboanga Police Station 11, held a drug buy-bust operation at Bulahan Drive, Brgy. Baliwasan, Zamboanga City at about 5:50 PM on August 21, 2016. Arrested suspect was identified as Ayatulla Ijin y Amilhasan, 36, of 5th St., Southcom Village, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from him were six small plastic sachets of suspected shabu, marked money, and several drug paraphernalia. Subject is temporarily detained at said police station pending the filing of appropriate charges in court.
