Notorious Member of Maymay Aburi And Sabtal Criminal Group / KFRG Arrested in Payao (Update)

Joint elements of Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, 6th Special Force and 44th Infantry Brigade of Phil. Army, arrested a member of Maymay Aburi and Reming Sabtal Criminal Group/Kidnap for Ransom Group operating in Zamboanga Sibugay Province during a law enforcement operation in Barangay Silal Municipality of Payao,  Zamboanga Sibugay for the service of arrest warrant on August 21, 2016 at 8:00 AM.

PSSUPT ROMULO CLEVE N TABOSO, Provincial Director of Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office, identified the arrested CG/ KFRG member as Marijuk Dacula. Dacula has a standing warrant of arrest for kidnapping for ransom docketed under Criminal Case No. I-5832 issued by Judge Anthony Isaw of RTC Branch 24, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Marijuk Dacula is also listed number 1 in the watchlist of illegal drug personalities of Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office involved in the kidnapping of Richard W. Rodwell an Australian National in December 5, 2011 in Barangay Pangi, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay and Alexa Dela Cruz last January 11, in Barangay Kima, Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay. He is also involved in the sale and transport of illegal drugs in the Municipality of Payao, Siay, Imelda, Kabasalan, Naga and Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay Province.

The arrest of Marijuk Dacula is the result of an intensified implementation of Project “Double Barrel” particularly on High Value Target and the campaign against most wanted Kidnap for Ransom Group personalities operating in Zamboanga Peninsula.

PCSUPT BILLY B. BELTRAN, Acting Regional Director, Police Regional Office 9, lauded and commended the participating PNP/AFP elements for a job well done and for their utmost efforts and action that resulted in the arrest of said wanted person in Zamboanga Sibugay.
