Armed Man Killed in Sirawai Police Operation; Another House Raided in Tugbungan

Operatives of Sirawai MPS, RPSB9, PPSC and 42nd IB Philippine Army implemented a search warrant at the house of Erwin Dacula y Sali a.k.a. “Thots” at the vicinity of Barangay Sirawai Proper, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:05 PM on November 10, 2016.

This is by virtue of two search warrants for violations of RA 9165 and RA 10591 issued by 9th Judicial Region Branch 27, Siocon, ZDN dated November 10, 2016. During the operation, as the raiding team was about to enter the residence of the target person, an unidentified person from the house fired a shot at them. The raiding team retaliated which killed the armed suspect later identified as Mohammad Sabuddin y Lumigis, 32, resident of Barangay Malambuhangin, Siocon. The neutralized gunman was an identified pusher in Sirawai. Recovered from him was a cal .45 pistol, with serial number 132753 and three rounds of ammo. However, the target person was able to elude arrest during the commotion. Recovered from the house of the subject person were a Colt M16 rifle, with defaced serial number, twenty-nine rounds of cal 5.56 ammos, an M16 magazine, nine small sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.



A man who is the target of a search warrant eluded arrest during a police operation carried out by combined elements of ZCPO and Zamboanga City Public safety Company in Barigon, Baragay Tugbungan at about 6:15 PM on November 10, 2016. The team raided the house of suspect Mario Esperat for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165. However, upon the arrival of the searching team, the subject person hurriedly escaped. Recovered inside the room occupied by the abovementioned subject were two discarded small sachets with shabu residue and several drug paraphernalia.
