5 Held for Illegal Fishing in Naga

Personnel of Naga MPS conducting seaborne patrol were able to apprehend a fishing boat engaged in illegal fishing activity inside the municipal waters of Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 9:00 AM on January 10, 2017.

This led to the apprehension of five boat crew members and their tools. The crew members were identified as Felix Planteras, 41, Arnel Calarian Motong, 42, Elias Oralde Malinao, 34, Julius Flores Edaño, 43, Aldren Calarian Sabado, 24, and Roberto Calarian Español, 39. The items confiscated include a Kama 12hp engine, and other equipment with a total estimated worth of Php150,000.00. The apprehended fishermen were brought to Naga MPS for proper disposition while confiscated fishing boat and equipment were brought to Taytay Manubo Fishing Port in Naga.
