House Raids Confiscate Guns and Ammos in Kumalarang

Combined police operatives composed of elements from CIDG-ZDS, CIDG-ZDN, HPG-ZDS, ZSPPSC and Kumalarang MPS served a search warrant in Purok Waling-Waling, Sitio Laya, and Sitio Togop, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 7, 2017 at about 4:35 AM.

This is for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions allegations against Abu Kahal Ali who remains at-large. The composite team recovered an improvised homemade shotgun, one bandolier for caliber .30mm, and one holster at his residence.

Additonal search warrants for illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions were implemented against Tapsen Tawap Ali, another suspect at-large, led to the recovery of a Colt Combat Commander caliber .45 with serial number 706172962, one KG 9 Luger 9mm with serial number 504315, one KG9 colt AR15 9mm with serial number 725839, eight rounds of caliber .45 ammunition, two pieces of caliber .45 magazine assembly, one holster, forty-five caliber 9mm ammunitions, three high-cap magazines for caliber .9mm, and a homemade shotgun. The target personalities were not around during the search, and the occupants of the raided residents failed to produce documents for the said firearms. The confiscated firearms and ammo are under the custody of CIDG-ZDS while a case for violation of RA 10591 is being prepared for filing against the aforementioned owners of firearms for filing in court.
