Man Collared for Firing Gun in Pagadian

A series of alleged gun shots were heard near one of the residences in Purok 2, Barangay Kalasan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 PM on March 23, 2017. A gray Toyota Fortuner bearing plate number KGU 633 was seen parked adjacent to the said house.

Responding PNP personnel approached the vehicle and courteously advised the driver inside the vehicle to open the window. When the driver opened the window, they saw one magazine assembly and an ammunition of caliber .45 pistols near the gear stick of the car. The driver, along with his two companions, was commanded to disembark from their vehicle. Further search led to the discovery of a Colt caliber .45 pistol bearing serial number 936185 that was placed under the doormat of the passenger seat. Three spent caliber .45 cartridges were also discovered at the lawn of the nearby house. Further investigation revealed that the owner of the firearm is Jomar Salujudin Abdul, 40, years old, resident of Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion Trento, Agusan Del Sur.  The PNP personnel who responded immediately arrested the said person and brought him to Pagadian CPS. Subject person is temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.
