Truck with Undocumented Coco Lumbers Halted in Polanco

Operatives of Polanco MPS and Philippine Coconut Authority conducted an operation against illegal logging at about 10:00 AM on May 8, 2017.

This led to the interception of a Fuso canter truck bearing plate number GHD 639 driven by Roy D. Claveria in Sitio Dap-Dap, Barangay Poblacion South, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte. Said truck was loaded with sawn flitches of coco lumber having different dimensions with an estimated volume of 2,646 board feet and a market value of Php 39,690.00 owned by Elmer R Quinlog of Barangay Galas, Dipolog City. The driver and the owner failed to present legal documents for the transport of said lumbers. The intercepted truck and its load were turned-over to PCA for proper disposition.
