Hot Lumbers Intercepted in Pagadian

Combined elements of Pagadian City Police Station and 547th Engineering Battalion of the Philippine Army conducted a mobile checkpoint along the national highway in Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:40 AM on June 11, 2017.

This led to the interception of a blue Mazda Bonggo truck bearing plate number WQG 176 loaded with mangume and palakata lumbers having an estimated volume of 900 board feet and a market value of ₱27,000.00. Its driver, Sobair Samauna Lumabao, resident of Purok 3, Barangay Piraka, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, failed to present pertinent papers for the cargo, certificate of registration (CR) and official receipt (OR) of the truck. The vehicle and the confiscated lumbers were brought to Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.
