13 Suspected Maute Members Subjected to Profiling in Pagadian

Pagadian City Police Station and military personnel conducted profiling on the thirteen individuals who came from Marawi City at about 8:30 AM on June 16, 2017, one of whom is in critical condition hospitalized in one of the hospitals in Pagadian City.  The injured individual was identified as Junaid A. Dimarugong a.k.a. “Ameodin Ameril”, who is confined in Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City.

Said individuals came from Salvador town in Lanao Del Norte, and Barangays Bario and New Capitol in Marawi City. After the profiling, the thirteen individuals consented to be subjected to a paraffin test by Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory. Tests revealed that both hands of Dimarugong yielded positive result for the presence of gun powder nitrates, and another individual from the group named Halil Saliling Ali also tested positive for powder burns. Pagadian CPS took custody of Halil Ali for further investigation. Meanwhile, Dimarugong and other individuals are being closely monitored by the authorities.
