5 Fishing Boats Intercepted for Illegal Fishing in J. Dalman and Margosatubig

Personnel of Jose Dalman MPS conducted seaborne patrol along the coastal area of Jose Dalman in Zamboanga Del Norte at around 10:00 PM on July 13, 2017.

This led to the apprehension of nine fishermen after they were caught violating Municipal Fishery Ordinance No. 008-005-FO series of 2004. The apprehended fishermen were turned-over to the Municipal Fish Warden of Jose Dalman for proper disposition.


Four commercial fishing boats and its twenty-three crew members were arrested by Margosatubig MPS and Philippine Army during a seaborne patrol after they were caught engaged in illegal fishing activity in Dumanquillas Bay, Margosatubig Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 AM on July 14, 2017.  The apprehended commercial fishing boats were identified as Nur Ann 1 fishing boat owned by Nurding Faki with six fishing crews, Nur Ann 2 fishing boat with seven crew members, Yasser fishing boat owned by Nasser Tungayao with five crew members, and Princess Jainab registered to Adam Jaji with five fishing crews. Four boxes of assorted fish and fishing paraphernalia with an estimated value of Php 2,800.00 were confiscated from them. All apprehended fishermen and confiscated items were brought to Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.
