Drug Dealer Cuffed in Sta. Catalina

The Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga Police Station 11 arrested a 49-year old drug suspect during a drug buy-bust operation in Villanueva Drive, Barangay Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City at about 11:00 PM on July 15, 2017.

The suspect was identified as Edgardo Nobleza Ogdamina a.k.a. Ponie, 49, resident of above-mentioned place. Confiscated from him were a small sachet of suspected shabu and marked money. The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to said police station for proper disposition.


Elements of Imelda MPS who were conducting random checkpoint along the national highway in Barangay Balugo, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay held a Suzuki raider 150cc motorcycle with no license plate attached which came from Barangay Sta. Barbara, Imelda municipality at about 8:00 PM on July 14, 2017. The driver of the motorcycle stopped before reaching the checkpoint and threw away a pouch on the roadside and sped away to elude the checkpoint. Imelda MPS personnel chased and came upon motorcycle that was abandoned in front a house in Barangay Poblacion, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay. Investigation disclosed that the owner of the motorcycle identified as Jefferson Magadan stated that his motorcycle was borrowed by a certain Arnold Legaspi Ruiz a.k.a. “Tonio” earlier that day, whom he has no knowledge of the suspect’s activities. One big sachet of suspected shabu, cellphone, cash, and scissior was found inside the thrown pouch. The recovered items were brought to Imelda MPS for proper disposition.
