BELTRAN, PRO9 Regional Director, led the awarding of PNP Merit Medal “Medalya ng Kagalingan” to personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 (Tetuan) led by PSUPT NONITO P ASDAI, Station Commander, and Zamboanga City Police Station 7 (Sta. Maria) led by PCINSP JOSEPH L ORTEGA, Station Commander, during the Flag Raising Ceremony held at the PRO9 Parade Ground, Camp Romeo Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City on July 17, 2017.
Recipients of the Medalya ng Kagalingan for ZCPS6 are PSUPT NONITO P ASDAI, SPO2 Melchor I Rivera, PO3 Maricel K Abduhalim, PO3 Asami T Villacin, PO3 Abdilla T Arip, PO2 Abdul Nadzer A Moharibain, PO2 Damsa V Bairulla, PO2 Elonio N Fonollera, PO1 Alvin F Macahis, PO1 Albasher M Sayadi, PO1 John Francis C Ortega and PO1 Joel V Saure. PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 (Tetuan) demonstrated exemplary performance and devotion to duty during the conduct of a buy-bust operation at Vallerosa Subdivision, Barangay Sinunuc, Zamboanga City at about 8:30 AM on June 24, 2017, which led to the arrest of two big time drug pushers identified as Almujir Sabtal y Usman and Carmin Aliakbar Maluddiny and the confiscation of three packs containing approximately three kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of Php 60,000,000.00.
For ZCPS7, among those awarded are PCINSP JOSEPH L ORTEGA, SPO1 Bensar Elhano, SPO1 Richard S Respal, PO3 Moh. Adzhar Mahamud, PO2 Jay Jose, PO2 Arnel V Ferrer and PO1 Rozalie B Macapili. These personnel demonstrated exemplary performance and devotion to duty during the conduct of buy-bust operation at Mindpro Mall, Zone 3, Zamboanga City at about 4:00 PM of June 22, 2017 which resulted in the arrest of notorious drug pusher identified as Alkasumar Jamalul Tamano and confiscation of two sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of Php 45,400.00.
PCSUPT REGINO S CATIIS, Deputy Director, DHRDD, commended the awardees for a job well done during his speech. In his message, he emphasized the importance of training as a weapon in attaining the ultimate mission of PNP which is to serve and protect the community. He also urged all PNP personnel to be God-fearing and trustful for whatever trial that may come in life.
