69 Barangays in Zamboanga Del Sur Declared as Drug-Cleared

Sixty-Nine Barangays in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur were declared as drug-cleared communities by the Regional Oversight Committee following their ceremonial declaration program held at Tigbao, Dumalinao, Bayog, Lakewood and Josefina, all of Zamboanga Del Sur from June 11-13, 208. The declaration was made after accomplishing the parameters set forth by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) as provided in Section 8, DDB Board Regulation No. 3 Series of 2017, otherwise known as “Strengthening the Implementation of the Barangay Drug-Clearing Program.”

Advisory on Rising Incidence of Vehicle Mishaps in ZamPen

The Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9) expressed alarm over the rising number of deaths and injured due to road mishaps at the National Highway in the region. From June 5-12, 2018, the PRO9 Regional Operation Center tallied a total of thirteen (13) vehicular accidents occurred at the provinces/cities in the region and registered eight (8) deaths and forty-six (46) injured, respectively.
