Joint personnel of 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company together with Bureau of Customs IX conducted seaborne patrol at Manalipa Island, Zamboanga City at 8:20 pm of June 21, 2022 and intercepted one (1) blue motorized wooden watercraft locally known as “Jungkong” with body marked “FB Jamaika” with (10) crew members identified as Edzar A Aharaji, 38 years old, male, single; Jacob Alvarez, 46 years old, male, married; Aldimar Daniel, 42 years old, male, married, all residents of Chinese Pier, Jolo; Rasdi Altalad, 29 years old, male, married, a resident of Luuk, Jolo; Juning Ibrahim, 52 years old, male, married, a resident of Siasi, Jolo; Samoudi Jamlul, 20 years old, male, single, resident of Busbus, Jolo; Hussam S Najir, 42 years old, male, married, a resident of Suterville, Zamboanga City; Aluomar Asari, 22 years old, male, married, a resident of Patikul, Basilan; Almakrin E Ayub, 22 years old, male, married, a resident of Tiyanggi, Jolo; and Alnisar S Jul, 21 years old, male, single and a resident of Idiris, Basilan; loaded with 275 master cases and 32 rims of fort smuggled cigarettes with an estimated market value of PhP 9,647,400.00 with no pertinent papers to support their claims. Said arrested persons, motorized wooden watercraft, along with confiscated items are now under the custody of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for proper disposition.
