Once again, the members of the Police Regional Office 9 Shooting Team have brought honor and recognition after they topped a recently concluded shooting competition in Camp Crame, wherein seventeen Police Regional Offices competed. The three-day shooting competition that was sponsored by Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (AIDSOTF) PNP National Headquarters, kicked-off on May 15, 2015 at the PNP National Headquarters Shooting Range in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The PRO 9 Shooting Team is composed of Police Senior Superintendent Randolf Delfin, Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Team Captain, Police Superintendent Allan Nazarro, Acting Chief, RLD, Police Senior Inspector Helen Galvez, Chief of Police, Zamboanga City Police Station 4 (Culianan), PO3 Fhunzar Jubail, and PO3 Randy Balingit, both assigned with Zamboanga City Police Office.
Though not familiar with the terrain of the shooting range, after three days of squeezing the triggers during the competition, the PRO 9 Shooters emerged as the champion.
For the individual category, PO3 Fhunzar Jubail, topped the more than 100 competitors, where he emerged as champion, tailed by his two teammates, Police Officer 3 Randy Balingit and Police Superintendent Alan Nazarro, who garnered second and third places, respectively.
Members of the Command Group, Police Commissioned Officers, Police Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Uniformed Personnel of PRO9 joins Police Chief Superintendent Edgar O. Basbas, Acting Regional Director, in congratulating the members of the PRO 9 Champion Shooting Team.
ARD PRO 9 gladly announced to the personnel of Police Regional Office 9 Headquarters during the Monday Morning Flag Raising Ceremony on May 18, 2015 the exceptional feat of the PRO 9 Shooters who won the said shooting competition. In his message, he encouraged all the attendees to continuously display excellence in the performance of their duties and assigned tasks.
For his other concern regarding the welfare of his men, ARD PRO9 advised all PNP personnel in the region to always take precautionary measures in all of their undertakings, especially in rendering duty. Apart from protecting the people and preserving the peace and security of the community, ensuring their own and their family members safety is also very vital.
