The Police Regional Office 9 headed by PCSUPT MIGUEL C ANTONIO, JR., will be busy during the 2016 Local and National Election due to the deployment of PNP personnel from this Headquarters to the different areas in Zamboanga Peninsula. As such, PNP members may not be able to cast their votes during Election Day in May 9. However, they were given an option to avail of the Local Absentee Voting.

RD PRO9 encouraged those personnel who availed of the absentee voting to exercise their right to vote from April 27-29 2016 at their respective Police Offices.

Records show that a total of 241 Police-Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) in Zamboanga Peninsula were able to take advantage of the absentee voting on the designated dates.

The PRO9 leadership assures the general public of a secure and fair conduct of this democratic exercise. Furthermore, the command is asking for the cooperation and support of everyone to report any untoward incident during the election period to the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center of Police Regional Office 9 through telephone numbers 991-3003.
