Six PNP Personnel of Police Regional Office 9 were given Retirement Honors during the "Salamat Kapatid Program" held at PRO9 Quadrangle, Camp Col. Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City at about 4:30 PM of January 26, 2018. PNP retirees PSUPT Jeremiah A Torres, PSUPT Abita A Mates, PCINSP Pablo M Aguda Jr., SPO2 Silvano Cagbabanua, SPO1 Nestor Dayaganon, SPO1 Abdurahim Uddin and SPO1 Richard Respail, were given PNP Service Medal, a memento and a plaque of recognition handed by PCSUPT Billy B Beltran, Regional Director, as a fitting recognition of their long years of dedicated and invaluable service to the police force and most importantly, to the country. PSSUPT Narciso B Verdadero, Deputy Regional Director for Operations of Police Regional Office 9 graced the conduct of 1st Regional Level Top Senior PNCOs Consultative Meeting held at the PRO9 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Col Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City on January 19, 2018. During the meeting, arising issues and concerns of PNCOs were discussed and among others. It was attended by Executive Senior Police Officers (ESPO), Chief Clerks and other Top Senior PNCOs from the different Police Stations/Battalion/Office of Police Regional Office 9.

PCSUPT Billy B Beltran, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 9, graced the 2-day Human Rights Refresher Seminar held at the PRO9 Conference Room, Camp Col Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City on January 18-19, 2018, with the theme "PNP Promote, Protect and Fulfill Human Rights, PCSUPT Dennis Siervo, Director of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office, said the seminar aimed is to increase the police officers’ awareness of the application of relevant national and international human rights laws, principles and standards. It is also supposed to enhance the level of cooperation between investigators and custodial officers of the PNP.
