Notorious "Boy Takas" and Sons Neutralized in Police Operation

A team from Sibuco Municipal Police Station conducted a law enforcement operation for the service of warrant of arrest against the group of Jamaruddin Alih a.k.a. “Boy Takas” in Barangay Lakiki, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:00 AM on June 24, 2016.

A firefight ensued that happened from 3:15 AM to 5:30 AM which resulted in the neutralization of Jamaruddin Alih and his two sons identified as Nurjin Alih and Danny Kairal. One of the responding policemen, PO1 Samman Iyoh was hit by a shrapnel from a rifle grenade during the firefight. “Boy Takas” is the leader of the Jamaruddin Alih criminal group with approximately sixteen members operating in Sibuco, involved in extortions and shooting incidents. The subject personality is an escapee of San Ramon Penal Farm at San Ramon, Zamboanga City, and has several standing warrant of arrest for murder under Criminal Case Numbers 838 and 841, as well as frustrated murder, under Criminal Case Number 837. His son Nurjin Alih has a warrant of arrest for murder, while Danny Kairal is under the watch list of drug personalities by Sibuco MPS. Recovered items were a caliber .45 pistol, a magazine assembly and several caliber 7.62 ammos.
