Abu Sayyaf Members Nabbed in Baliwasan

Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City – Members of Abu Sayyaf Group apprehended at Mangal Drive, Baliwasan Grande, Zamboanga City at 3:00 AM of September 26, 2019 in a search warrant implemented for violation of RA 9516. During the search Improvise Explosive Device (IED) materials were confiscated from Aljiver Habibula (arrested) 35 years old, male, Omar Julaspih (arrested) 22 years old, male, Rody Marail (arrested) 36 years old, male, and Nash Amik (arrested) 32 years old, male, all temporarily residing at Manggal Drive, Baliwasan Grande, Zamboanga City and natives of Sulu.

Recovered items were four non electric blasting caps, one electric blasting cap, five 40MM live ammunitions, detonating cord, undetermined weight of suspected ANFO placed in 500ml transparent plastic container, one cellphone suspected to be triggering device, Electrical tape, stranded electric wire with different colors, undetermined length of magnetic wire, undetermined length of common nail, one (1) round bamboo containing undetermined weight of white granules suspected to be ammonium nitrate, one (1) unit Q-Net cellphone, and 19 pieces live ammunitions of caliber 5.56.

The accomplishment is a joint effort of the composite team of CIDG ZCFU, RFU9, RSOG, MIG9 ISAFP, RMFB9, 904th RMFB, Task Force Zamboanga, RID PRO9, NICA9, EOD, and ZCPS11, ZCPO.
