ASG Henchman Caught in Muti

Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City - An alleged member of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was arrested by the combined operatives of CIDG-Regional Operation Group-Regional Field Unit 9, CIDG Zamboanga City Field Unit 9, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Marine Battalion Landing Team-11, MID-4 MIU PMC, 904th Maneuvering Company, RMFB9 and Zamboanga City Police Station 2 in a joint law enforcement operation through serving of warrant of arrest conducted at Sitio Palo-Palo, Brgy. Muti, Zamboanga City at about 1:30 PM of April 11, 2020.

PBGEN Froilan F Quidilla, Regional Director identified the arrested bandit as Barri Happil, 40 years old, married male, Filipino and resident of Sitio Palo-Palo, Brgy. Muti, Zamboanga City.

The bandit was arrested for violation of R.A 9516 "Illegal Possession of Explosives", docketed under Criminal Case No. 32899 dated May 7, 2016 issued by Judge Vera Vergada, RTC 9, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 14, Zamboanga City.

Barri Happil is a member of the Abu Sayaff Group (ASG) under ASG Sub Leader Marzan Ajijul and is now under the temporary custody of the PNP for commitment to court.
