125 New Police Officers Take Oath in PRO9

Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City – a total of 125 police recruits took their oath as new members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in a ceremony held at the Police Regional Office 9 Quadrangle, Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Mercedes Zamboanga City on July 1, 2020.

PBGEN Jesus D Cambay, Jr, Regional Director, PRO9 administered the oath of the newly appointed Patrolman and Patrolwoman of the Philippine National Police (PNP), who were able to pass the selection process for the Regular Recruitment Program quota for 2020.

The Regional Director welcomed the new batch of police officers composed of 106 male and 19 female, and praised them for passing the rigid screening process such as neuropsychiatric test, physical agility test, random drug tests, complete background investigation, physical, medical and dental examination.

In his speech, PBGEN Cambay Jr, congratulated the newly appointed patrolmen and patrolwomen for making up to this point. He also encouraged the newly appointed police officers to serve the PNP organization and country with utmost dedication

“Today is the most awaited day of this men and women here before us. Finally the long wait is over as you are are now officially appointed as partolman and patrolwomen of the PNP. All your sacrifices and endurance paid off in this day. From among the thousand number of applicants who decide to became part of the PNP, you are the one who were choseen and gven the priviledge to serve and protect. Congratulation for making up to this point”. He said.

.After the oath taking, the new police officers were immediately assigned to the Regional Training Center 9 (RTC9) for their six month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC), after which they will undergo another six months of Field Training Exercises (FTX), which will be spent at the different police stations. Right after the FTP, the new Police Officers will undergo rigid PNP Basic Internal Security Operation Course (BISOC) for 45 days.

As patrolmen and patrolwomen, they will receive a basic monthly salary of Php29, 668.00 aside from allowances and other benefits.
