Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City – The Police Regional Office 9, in a effort to enhance their leadership skills as police commisioned officers has conducted two-day pre-deployment seminar to 110 newly appointed police lieutenants held at PRO9 Multi-purpose Hall, Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City on July 7-8, 2020.

PBGEN Jesus D Cambay, Jr, PRO9 Regional Director said that seminar aims to acquaint the police lieutenants on the knowledge of operational and administrative regional staffs before they will be deployed in various police units across the region.


 Speaking to the newly-commissioned officers, the regional director reminded them to internalize the objective of the two-day seminar as he put emphasis on the U.S.T. acronym: Unity in Purpose Solidarity in Values and Teamwork.

“Know yourself, seek for self-improvement, know your men, look after the moral and welfare of his men and accomplish the mission”, he further added.

These newly assigned police lieutenants were oriented on the leadership functions of the different Chiefs of Office of PRO9 regional staffs occupying the various administrative function such as Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Regional Operations and Management Division, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division, Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, Regional Comptrollership Division, Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division, Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division.  

These 110 new police lieutenants, who were sworn in as commissioned officers through the PNP lateral entry program last March 25, 2019, is expected to beef up the total 472 strengths of police commissioned officers in the region. (PRO9-PIO)
