2 Arrested, Php 3.7-M worth of Shabu Seized in Zamboanga City

Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City – Two suspected drug personalities were arrested while 3.7 million worth of shabu were seized by combined operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 4, Zamboanga City Police Station 11, PDEA and Military Intel Agencies during a drug buy bust operation carried out along Pilar Street, Brgy Zone IV, Zamboanga City at 2:30 PM of July 28, 2020.

PBGEN JESUS D CAMBAY, JR, Regional Director, PRO9 identified the arrested suspects as Nur-Adzelyn Villaraza Y Ladjahali, 22 years old, married, OFW, resident of Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City and Linda Kasim y Tasim, 51 years old, married, businesswoman, resident of Caragasan, Barangay Maasin, Zamboanga City.

Recovered from suspect's possessions were Eleven (11) large transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust items weighing more or less 550 grams with estimated street value of 3.7 million pesos and marked money.

Both suspects are presently detained at Zamboanga City Police Station 4 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court while all recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Lab Office for examination.

PBGEN CAMBAY JR. commended the unwavering effort of Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) under PCOL THOMAS JOSEPH MARTIR for the relentless and continued anti-illegal drugs operation in the city in spite of the pandemic. He added that while the illegal drug pushers continue to engage in illegal drugs activities despite the pandemic crisis and our personnel are occupied with other activities such as locking down areas on positive Covid19 cases and participate in contact tracing, we remain vigilant to suppress illegal drugs proliferation in the region.
