Top 1 Most Wanted Zamboanga City, Arrested

Abdulhakim Nasalon, 45 years old, male, and a resident of Brgy. Muti Zamboanga City, ASG member and also a member of Ajijul Group, was arrested by PNP operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station Zamboanga City Police Office – Intel Branch ,Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Criminal Investigation and 74th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army in an operation against wanted person in connection with the Simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at Barangay Curuan, Zamboanga City at 11:30 a.m. of May 24, 2021.

 The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention with Ransom penalized under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code with Criminal Case No. 24270 issued and signed by Presiding Judge Hon. Ivy F. Damayo- Elva, Branch 16, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated December 10, 2020 with no bail bond recommended.. Accused is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 2 prior turn over to the concerned court.

Subject person was involved in the kidnapping of Doroteo Gonzales was a Filipino farmer who was kidnapped on April 25, 2009 at his own residence at Buenavista, Zamboanga City and brought to nearby Basilan Island, where al-Qaida-linked Abu Sayyaf rebels are holding at least five other people in a surge of ransom kidnappings. Doroteo Gonzales was beheaded on May 17, 2009 at Basilan after his family failed to pay the ransom amounting to 25,000,000 million pesos for his release.
