After the Flag Raising Ceremony in observance of the 118th Philippine Independence Day Celebration on June 12, 2016 at 8:30 in the morning, PSSUPT DEBOLD M SINAS, Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO) together with the Directorial Staff spearheaded the conduct of random drug testing to 78 personnel who are undergoing Police Community Affairs and Development Course (PCADC) and Character Aptitude Development Enhancement Training (CADET) schooling at the Regional Special Training Unit 9.
Police Regional Office 9 Acting Regional Director, PCSUPT BILLY B BELTRAN, directed all PNP units under PRO9 to intensify manhunt operations against Most Wanted Persons in Zamboanga Peninsula. This guidance resulted in the arrest of a high valued target by joint elements of CIDG9, Zamboanga Del Norte Police Provincial Office Intelligence Branch, 17th Special Forces Company - HSC, 6th SF BN, PA, 44th IB, Philippine Army, MIG9, MIG10 and NICA9 during the conduct of law enforcement operations in the service of warrant of arrest against Abner Gumandol a.k.a. Sehar Muloc a.k.a. “Red Eye” in Barangay Kaliantana, Municipality of Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay on June 12, 2016 at about 1:00 AM.
This pertains to the re-opening of classes for students in both public and private institutions which will start on June 13, 2016. As expected, millions of students will troop to schools which may be taken advantage by lawless elements to carry out their nefarious activities such as snatching, swindling, robbery and street level drug trafficking as well as bullying and harassment. Likewise, militant groups may continue conducting their mass protests against the implementation of K to 12 program.
