ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Police Regional Office 9 has rounded up some 1, 916 unlicensed and undocumented firearms from the period of January 1, 2018 – April 1, 2019 following its intensified and strengthened drive against loose firearms to prevent election-related violence in the region.
The Joint Task Group Sibugay Bay composed of PNP and Armed Forces of the Philippines in corrdination with Zamboanga Sibugay LGU was fully activated on March 27, 2019. Said activity was held at the 102nd Brigade, Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. PBGEN EMMANUEL LUIS D LICUP, RD PRO9, graced the event together with other RJSCC members.
An all-female personnel composed this Monday's Flag Ceremony battalion troops on March 25, 2019. The battalion was led by PSUPT. AILEEN E ARAÑAS who spearheaded the parading troops during the said event. Several female personnel were also awarded for their outstanding performance in crime prevention. The activity is in connection with the celebration of Women's Month.
Five out of 98 barangays in Zamboanga City were declared Drug Clear yesterday at Garden Orchid Convention Center, Zamboanga City. The said event was graced by PSSUPT RAY DANTE B SOLEDAD, the acting chief of Regional Community Affairs Development Division. Members of the CADAC were also present during the said event.
