Police Regional Office 9, in coordination with Joint Task Force Zamboanga and in partnership with Council of Advisers for Muslim Advancement (CAMA) held a Peace Forum with the theme "Fostering Relationships-Bettering Communities" at Barangay Muti and Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City on September 24, 2017. Said activity was attended by students and faculties of Mahad Muti Al-islamie and Markhads Carama.
Police Regional Office 9 represented by PSUPT MADZGANI MUKARAM - OIC,RPCRD, in coordination with the Council of Advisers for Muslim Advancement (CAMA), organized a Forum on Counter-Radicalization and Preventing Violent Extremism entitled "Righteousness and Piety" held at Alhusna Building, RT Lim Boulevard, Zamboanga City. Said event was also attended by around 300 students and teachers of Atta'Seer Al Ilmee Institute and Assunah Foundation.
Salaam Police Center 9 stationed at Camp Gen. Eduardo Batalla, Justice RT Lim Boulevard, Zamboanga City under the leadership of Police Inspector Dahlan Tidal Samuddin, Acting Chief, administered the oath taking of new members of Salaam Civilian Volunteers which was organized in the Island Barangay of Tumalutab, Zamboanga City on February 9, 2014.
The following are the functions of the Salaam Police Center:
a. Undertake close monitoring, networking and liaising activities with Muslim communities in addressing terrorism and lawless violence in their respective areas to ensure respect of cultural diversity and cooperation;
